About us

Welcome to The Tassie Farm – inspired by the everyday events on Kerry and Nick’s 23 acre farm in Middleton on the glamorous-sounding D’Entrecasteaux Channel. This blog is a place for anyone who’s interested in food, art, design, animals and country life in Tassie’s south. Here’s a short blurb on the three founders:
Kerry Hodge is an illustrator, font collector, keen cook and freelance creative director / art director. She also dibbles and dabbles in photography and has an eye for everything crafty.
Jane Skarratt is a children’s book author, children’s TV writer and freelance creative director / copywriter. She’s gone back to uni to study linguistics and hopes to enrol in a Master of Speech Pathology next year.
Jane and Kerry have been working as a creative team in Melbourne ad agencies since 2007. http://www.skarrattandhodge.com
Together, they have co-authored the Higgledy-Piggledy Farm ebooks http://www.facebook.com/higgledypiggledyfarm
Nick Attfield http://www.nickattfieldwroughtiron.com is a blacksmith by trade and runs his own forge. Nick learnt his craft at the Hereford College of Technology in rural England and has exhibited in Melbourne, South Australia and Tasmania.

  1. Love it! More please… More food growing tips, more recipes, more lovely images of the area. And more on what it’s like to live and work (as creative people) in the twigs.

  2. Thank you for the material, and the webpage genuinely looks amazing. Just what word press theme are you using?

  3. KHKH! Tis a beautiful site. And looks to be a beautiful life too :)
Will share with foodie and like minded friends :)
